Rawalpindi: PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been granted bail in the cases related to the May 9 tragedy.
Judge Malik Ijaz Asif of the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi heard bail applications in the 9 tragedy cases. PTI founder granted bail in 12 cases including GHQ and Army Museum attack.
The court said that all the accused in the May 9 tragedy cases are on bail, so there is no justification to keep the PTI founder under arrest. PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also granted bail in 13 cases. Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi are unlikely to be released despite the bail being granted as both leaders are convicted in the cipher case.
The court also ordered the deposit of one lakh rupees in the May 9 tragedy cases.
