Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Begins Today as Thailand Face Hong Kong in Dubai
The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 is set to get underway today with Thailand facing Hong Kong in the opening match of the T20 tournament at the Dubai International Stadium.
Eight teams will compete for the continental title, with Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and hosts the United Arab Emirates taking part in the competition.
All 15 matches of the tournament are scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Stadium, providing a single venue for the group-stage and knockout fixtures.
Pakistan Women will begin their campaign on September 1 against Thailand. One of the most anticipated matches of the tournament will take place on September 5, when Pakistan face arch-rivals India in a high-profile encounter.
The knockout stage will begin with the first semi-final on September 10, followed by the second semi-final on September 11.
The tournament will conclude with the final on Sunday, September 13, at the Dubai International Stadium, where the two best-performing teams will compete for the Women’s Asia Cup title.
With eight teams competing and several major rivalries on the schedule, the tournament is expected to provide a competitive showcase of women’s T20 cricket in Asia.
