Wafi Energy Pakistan Reports H1 2026 Profit of PKR 1.52 Billion, Expands Shell Network

ISLAMABAD, August 27, 2026: Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited has reported a profit after tax of PKR 1.523 billion for the half year ended June 30, 2026, compared with PKR 1.260 billion during the same period last year.

The company’s half-year results were announced by its Board of Directors on Thursday amid continued volatility in global energy markets and disruptions to international supply routes. The second quarter recorded a loss after tax of PKR 641 million.

Despite challenging market conditions, Wafi Energy said it maintained reliable fuel supplies to customers while continuing to invest in its retail network and supply infrastructure.

During the first half of 2026, the company added 38 new Shell retail sites, 18 Shell Select stores and two EV Shell Recharge facilities, while also upgrading eight existing retail locations.

Wafi Energy’s lubricants business also recorded growth across consumer and industrial segments, supported by new product launches and continued investment in customer and mechanic engagement.

The company recently inaugurated a 7.4-million-liter motor gasoline storage tank at its Tarru Jabba terminal in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The new facility increases storage capacity and strengthens the company’s ability to position fuel supplies closer to areas of demand.

Wafi Energy said the investment is expected to improve supply resilience in the region and support plans to further expand its Shell retail network across northern Pakistan.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Wafi Energy Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Zubair Shaikh said the first half had been demanding for the industry due to disruptions in global supply routes and continued cost volatility.

“Our performance reflects disciplined investment and execution and focus on supply security,” Shaikh said. “Our aim has been simple: keep supply moving, provide customers with reliable fuels and lubricants, and keep investing in long-term value creation for shareholders and the country.”

Wafi Energy said it remains focused on long-term growth in Pakistan, with continued investment in its retail network, infrastructure and operational capabilities to strengthen reliable energy supplies and support the country’s evolving energy needs.
