The Palestinian Olympic Committee (POC) has called for a ban on Israeli athletes from the Paris Olympics in 2024.
According to foreign media reports, the Palestinian Olympic Committee has reportedly sent a dossier to the International Olympic Committee demanding a ban.
The report claims that the Palestinian Committee has seen Israeli athletes meeting with soldiers and signing missiles to be used in the ongoing Palestinian genocide in Gaza.
The Deputy Secretary General of the Palestinian Committee, Nader Jaussi, has also held Israel responsible for human rights violations and killings in Gaza.
The British newspaper The Telegraph says that despite POC’s insistence, the International Olympic Committee is unlikely to ban Israeli athletes.
On the other hand, more than 38,000 Palestinians, including a large number of women and children, have been martyred in the war in Gaza since October 7.
