Pakistan’s current account has gone into surplus for the fifth consecutive time

Karachi: Pakistan’s current account has gone into surplus for the fifth consecutive time.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the country’s current account was in surplus by $582 million in December 2024.

Thus, during the first six months of the fiscal year 2025, the country’s current account was in surplus by $1.21 billion.

In the first six months of the fiscal year 2024, the current account deficit was $1.397 billion.

Compared to December 2023, the country’s current account has increased by 109 percent in December 2024.
