Pakistan Increases Petrol, Diesel Prices Again; New Fuel Rates Effective from July 25, 2026
ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced another increase in petroleum product prices, raising the rates of both petrol and high-speed diesel with effect from July 25, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs3.66 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs335.18 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs4.80 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs383.46 per litre.
The revised prices came into force from July 25, following the government’s latest fuel price review.
The recent adjustment continues a series of frequent revisions under the government’s daily petroleum pricing mechanism. Since the introduction of daily price adjustments, petrol prices have increased by Rs24.47 per litre, while diesel prices have climbed by Rs60.16 per litre.
In the days leading up to the latest announcement, fuel prices experienced multiple revisions. On July 18, petrol was increased by Rs5.44 and diesel by Rs31.05 per litre. On July 21, petrol became cheaper by Rs0.35, while diesel rose by Rs5.71 per litre.
Subsequent revisions saw further increases. On July 22, petrol and diesel prices were raised by Rs4.93 and Rs7.15 per litre, respectively. On July 23, petrol increased by Rs6.39 and diesel by Rs7.83 per litre, followed by another hike on July 24, when petrol went up by Rs4.40 and diesel by Rs3.62 per litre.
The continued upward trend in domestic fuel prices comes despite fluctuations in international oil markets and is expected to have an impact on transportation costs and overall inflation across the country.
