Islamabad: The court has summoned the parties for contempt of court proceedings for non-recovery of Azhar Mashwani’s brothers.
Before Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, a hearing was held on the plea of Azhar Mashwani’s father for the recovery of his two missing brothers, in which lawyer Babar Awan appeared on behalf of the father of missing Professor Mazharul Hasan and Professor Zahoorul Hasan.
During the hearing, Assistant Attorney General told the court that the report of Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior has already been filed. It is stated in the report of the security agencies that nothing is known about the two brothers.
Expressing indignation, the court summoned Defense Secretary, Interior Secretary, IG Islamabad and DGFIA in personal capacity. Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that I will now initiate contempt of court proceedings against all the parties. Answer why contempt of court proceedings should not be initiated.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till August 15.
