The true face of the Modi government’s anti-Sikhism has been exposed once again. The honor of Sikhs was violated by landing planes of Indians deported from the US in Amritsar for no reason.
According to reports, the Modi government has turned the crisis of deported Indians into a Sikh crisis. Under US President Donald Trump’s strict immigration policy, 332 Indian citizens have been deported so far. This deportation is part of the ongoing crackdown by the US authorities against illegal immigration, as a result of which three flights have reached India since February 5, 2025.
According to reports, the deportees were handcuffed and chained, while the turbans of the Sikh deportees were removed during the flight. The Modi government has hatched a heinous conspiracy to defame the Sikhs by landing deported Indians in the holy city of Amritsar, which has sparked outrage in Punjab and the Sikh community.
Sikh leaders say that this is actually a big conspiracy by Modi against the Sikh community, the aim of which is to create hatred and suspicion against them at the global level. The Modi government is using such low-level tactics to carry out political revenge against the Sikhs and is trying to defame them.
Chief Minister of Indian Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, while severely criticizing the Modi government for landing the planes carrying the deported people in Punjab, said that although Punjab is the agricultural hub and defense power of India, the BJP government has started a campaign to defame the state. Landing deported Indians from the US in Amritsar is another tactic of the Modi government, which aims to damage the reputation of the Sikhs at the global level.
The Chief Minister of Indian Punjab asked why the Ministry of External Affairs decided to land these planes in Amritsar when there are hundreds of other airports across the country? If Bangladeshi Sheikh Hasina’s plane can be landed at Hindon Airport and Rafale aircraft can land in Ambala, then why can’t the plane of the deportees be taken to some other part of the country? Illegal immigration is not just a Punjab problem but a national problem, yet the impression is being given that Punjab is severely affected by it. The self-proclaimed world leader, Modi, has achieved nothing for the country except his own self-aggrandizement.
These shameful conspiracies of the Modi government are a clear political vendetta against the Sikhs.
