Khelta Punjab Pink Games 2026
Lahore, 11 February 2026: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Khelta Punjab Pink Games 2026, in which 3,400 women athletes are participating from across Punjab. Athletes welcomed her enthusiastically when she reached Punjab Stadium, Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
She visited every pavilion across the stadium to encourage women athletes from each division who were carrying Pink Games torch around the stadium and lit the flame. An olympian athlete Faiqa Riaz led the march past, and the entire Punjab Stadium echoes with dhol beats and energetic slogans. Contingents of women athletes from each division performed the traditional march past at the stadium.
Sports Minister Faisal Khokhar said that sports are being taken to tehsil level on the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He added that female athletes are given monthly stipends, and highlighted that Punjab topped National Games with 126 medals and Quaid-e-Azam Games with 173 medals.
He underscored that 184 sports projects will be completed in Punjab within one year, and a synthetic astroturf stadiums will be built to promote hockey in every district. Ministers, Assembly Members, veteran athletes, and a large number of girls attended the ceremony.
