Kolkata: Indian Bengali actress and host Sudeepa Chatterjee started receiving death threats for cooking beef during the show.
According to Indian media, Kolkata-based Bengali actress and host Sudeepa Chatterjee said in her statement that a person had prepared a dish with beef in a Bangladeshi show.
Sudeepa Chatterjee said that as a host, I had a conversation with the person whose video went viral on social media and since then I have been receiving death threats.
The actress said that I am being accused that I also cooked beef during the show and then ate it while there is no such thing, I only had a conversation with the said person.
They said I have never eaten beef, never cooked it or touched it, watch the video carefully threatening me and then tell me when I have touched beef.
The Indian actress said that the said show was held on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and I represented India in this Bangladeshi show.
Sudeepa Chatterjee added that most of the people criticizing me have not seen the video, I am being criticized for political gain.
