Dr. Saleh bin Zainul Abedin, the guardian and key bearer of the Kaaba, passed away.
According to Saudi media, Dr. Saleh Bin Zain Al Abedin Al Shaibi was ill for a long time. Dr. Saleh was the 109th key bearer of Kaaba. Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have expressed their grief over the death of Dr. Saleh bin Zain al-Abidin.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Saleh Zainul Abedin Al Shaibi, the key bearer of the Kaaba, visited Pakistan for 6 days last year and held meetings with the top leadership.
The honor of the Sadana Kaaba has been passed down to the Al-Shaybi family for centuries. Sanad Baytullah is the sacred duty which includes matters such as maintenance of the Kaaba, opening, closing and bathing the Kaaba, preparing the Kaaba cover and repairing the Kaaba cover as needed.
