BYD Shark 6 Celebrates One Year in Pakistan with Outback Orange Edition
KARACHI, October 7, 2026: Mega Motor Company (MMC), the official partner of BYD in Pakistan, has marked the first anniversary of the BYD Shark 6 in the Pakistani market with the launch of an exclusive new colour, “Outback Orange.”
The anniversary edition was unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 in Lahore, adding a distinctive new look to Pakistan’s first and most powerful plug-in hybrid pickup.
The BYD Shark 6 combines electric performance with pickup capability and off-road technology, targeting customers seeking adventure without compromising on modern hybrid technology.
Speaking on the occasion, Danish Khaliq, Vice President Sales & Strategy, BYD Pakistan – MMC, said the company identified an opportunity to introduce a pickup that could combine the capability expected from the segment with the technology and driving experience of a plug-in hybrid.
He added that the response during the first year demonstrated growing customer acceptance of new-energy vehicle technology in Pakistan.
Powered by BYD’s Super DMO technology, the Shark 6 produces 436 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, while offering a claimed combined range of up to 800 kilometres. The pickup also features all-terrain driving modes, including Mud, Snow and Sand, making it suitable for both urban driving and challenging terrain.
The new Outback Orange anniversary edition retains the core performance and capability of the Shark 6 while giving customers an option designed to stand out on the road.

To celebrate the milestone, MMC has announced a special booking offer. Customers who book the BYD Shark 6 between October 1 and October 31, 2026 will receive their vehicles within 30 days, subject to selected colours and full payment.
Customers will also receive a one-year free service maintenance package as part of the anniversary promotion.
