Islamabad: A 40% increase in remittances was recorded during August 2024, the volume of remittances through Roshan digital accounts exceeded 8.581 billion dollars.
According to the data of the State Bank, in the month of August, the volume of remittances from overseas Pakistanis reached 2.94 billion dollars, which is 0.85 billion dollars or 40% more than the remittances of 2.09 billion dollars in August 2023.
According to statistics, in August 2024, overseas Pakistanis sent 165 million dollars in foreign exchange through Roshan digital accounts, which brought the volume of remittances sent through these accounts to 8.581 billion dollars since September 2020.
