Lahore: After the approval of the budget, the price of solar panels in the country is expected to decrease further.
According to the budget document, plant, machinery and associated equipment for the government to manufacture solar panels for export and to meet local needs and raw materials and components used in the manufacture of solar panels, inverters and batteries. Subsidies are being given on import of solar panels to reduce dependence on imported solar panels and save valuable foreign exchange.
This year, the prices of solar panels have been reduced by 40% in the country, while there is a possibility of another 20% reduction in the prices in case of a discount from the government.
