Petrol Price in Pakistan Rises to Rs375.82, Diesel Crosses Rs400
ISLAMABAD: The Petroleum Division has announced another increase in the prices of petroleum products, pushing the price of high-speed diesel above Rs400 per litre.
According to the latest notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs5.02 per litre, taking its new price to Rs375.82 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been raised by Rs5.28 per litre, bringing it to Rs403.32 per litre.
The revised prices will take effect from September 12 and remain applicable until September 14, 2026, according to the Petroleum Division notification.
The latest increase is expected to add to transportation and operating costs across various sectors, potentially placing further pressure on consumers and businesses.
Global Oil Prices Decline
The increase in domestic fuel prices comes despite a decline in international crude oil prices.
Brent crude fell by more than 3 percent to around $104 per barrel, while U.S. crude also declined by about 3 percent to $98 per barrel.
Meanwhile, Murban crude recorded a decline of around 2 percent, settling at approximately $120 per barrel.
The contrasting movement in international crude prices and domestic fuel rates is likely to draw further attention to the factors influencing petroleum prices in Pakistan.
