PAF honours Nishan-e-Haider Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed in Karachi, reaffirming the force’s commitment to duty, honour and the defence of Pakistan.
Islamabad : Pakistan Air Force paid tribute to national hero Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on Air Force Day, with a wreath-laying ceremony held at his grave in Karachi on September 7, 2026.
A smartly turned-out PAF contingent, led by Air Vice Marshal Akhtar Imran Saddozai, Air Officer Commanding Southern Air Command, offered Fateha and laid a floral wreath on behalf of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.

The ceremony honoured Rashid Minhas Shaheed’s extraordinary courage, devotion to duty and ultimate sacrifice. His heroic legacy remains a symbol of the Pakistan Air Force’s enduring values of duty, honour and sacrifice.
The occasion also reaffirmed the PAF’s commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while highlighting its operational preparedness, professionalism and determination to face every challenge.
Rashid Minhas Shaheed’s supreme sacrifice continues to inspire generations and remains permanently etched in Pakistan’s national history. The ceremony also paid tribute to all PAF martyrs whose courage and sacrifices continue to uphold the country’s proud defence traditions.
