NEVO Coming to Pakistan: Master Changan to Launch 5 New-Energy Models
KARACHI, August 20, 2026: Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) is preparing to introduce CHANGAN NEVO in Pakistan, marking the next major step in the company’s strategy to bring Changan’s global multi-brand portfolio to the local automotive market.
The planned introduction of NEVO follows the successful launch of DEEPAL and the local assembly of the S05 Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), further expanding Master Changan’s new-energy vehicle portfolio in Pakistan.
Master Changan, which became Pakistan’s fourth-largest automobile brand in 2025, has more than 75,000 vehicles on Pakistani roads. The company also operates a dedicated EV-equipped dealership network comprising 29 dealers across 19 cities, providing a growing foundation for the adoption of electric and new-energy vehicles.
Changan’s Global House of Brands Comes to Pakistan
Master Changan’s next phase of growth is based on Changan’s global multi-brand architecture, which includes four distinct passenger-vehicle brands:
- CHANGAN: Mainstream mobility focused on quality, technology and value.
- NEVO: Intelligent new-energy mobility aimed at making electrification accessible to mainstream consumers.
- DEEPAL: Premium new-energy mobility combining advanced technology and progressive design.
- AVATR: Intelligent luxury vehicles focused on design, technology and human-centric experiences.
The company first previewed this strategy at the Pakistan Auto Show 2025, where CEO Danial Malik introduced the “One for Everyone” vision. The plan included four brands and 11 products covering multiple segments, price points and powertrain technologies, including ICE, HEV, PHEV, REEV and BEV.
With NEVO now preparing to enter Pakistan, Master Changan’s multi-brand strategy is moving closer to implementation.
NEVO Targets Mass Electrification
Created by Changan for the era of intelligent and digitally connected mobility, NEVO is positioned as Changan’s mass-market new-energy vehicle brand.
Unlike electric mobility positioned exclusively as a premium offering, NEVO is designed to make advanced electrification more accessible to everyday consumers. Its global lineup includes sedans, SUVs and lifestyle vehicles powered by battery-electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (REEV) technologies.
Launched in 2023, NEVO has recorded cumulative global sales of more than 600,000 vehicles in three years, while three of its key models have ranked among the top three vehicles in their respective segments.
Changan has set a global ambition for NEVO to achieve annual sales of 1.5 million vehicles by 2030, making the brand an important component of its new-energy strategy.
NEVO to Launch Five Models in Pakistan
According to Master Changan, NEV O will introduce five models in Pakistan over the next three years, covering the sedan, SUV and pickup truck segments.
The company plans to introduce three new-energy products in the brand’s first year, covering BEV, PHEV and REEV powertrains.
The first model to spearhead NEV O’s Pakistan launch will be the NEV O Hunter, described by Master Changan as Pakistan’s first and only range-extended 4×4 truck.
The Hunter is expected to bring range-extended electric technology into Pakistan’s pickup truck segment while combining new-energy mobility with the utility and capability associated with a 4×4 vehicle.
Speaking about the upcoming launch, Danial Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Master Changan Motors Limited, said:
“NEV O is our commitment to bring mass electrification to Pakistan by making intelligent new-energy mobility progressive, practical and accessible at scale.”
The company said further details about NEV O’s products, launch plans and availability in Pakistan will be announced soon.
The arrival of NEVO is expected to further expand consumer choice in Pakistan’s rapidly developing new-energy vehicle market and strengthen Master Changan’s position as it continues to build Changan’s global House of Brands in the country.
