Madrid: Newly crowned FIFA World Cup 2026 champions Spain have climbed to the top of the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings, replacing Argentina after their historic World Cup triumph.
According to the updated rankings released by FIFA following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Spain moved up one place to become the world’s No. 1 team. Argentina, led by Lionel Messi and runners-up in the tournament, slipped one position to second.
