SOCIAL MOBILIZATION PROGRAM:
Hyderabad (Staff Reporter): The District Education Officer, Hyderabad, has issued a formal letter of appreciation to the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) for its remarkable efforts in promoting social mobilization and environmental awareness among students across Sindh.
The appreciation specifically highlights the initiative conducted at the Government Girls High School (Farm), Tando Jam, Taluka Hyderabad, where students were engaged in activities related to waste management, environmental cleanliness, and hygiene awareness. The program emphasized that creating a clean and green environment goes beyond sanitation alone and requires awareness, behavioral change, and responsible community participation.
The District Education Officer also commended SSWMB’s leadership, particularly the Managing Director, Tariq Ali Nizamani, for taking the lead in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability through education.
This recognition reinforces the importance of SSWMB’s ongoing efforts to extend social mobilization initiatives across schools in Sindh, aiming to instill environmental consciousness and active citizenship among the younger generation.
