Many men tried to cross the line and I had to show myself strong, Ayesha Omar
Pakistani actress and producer Ayesha Omar said during an interview on a show that after entering the showbiz industry at a young age, she faced attempts to cross the line from many men.
Ayesha Omar said that most people did not treat her seriously, for two main reasons – one was her young age and the other was her playfulness. She explained that “many men tried to cross the line and during this time I had to show myself strong so that no one would think that I was weak.”
The actress said that she adopted a ‘no-nonsense’ attitude to deal with this situation so that people would take her seriously. This attitude became even more necessary when she moved from Lahore to Karachi and started living alone, as a single girl is often considered weak in society.
During the show, Ayesha Omar also confessed to some of the mistakes of her career. She said that in the past, she did some award shows which could not be fully paid off till date. She shared these things while shedding light on the challenges of her early career.
