Famous Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty has revealed an incident that was not only one of the most difficult moments of his life, but also in which a Pakistani citizen played an important role in saving his life.
According to the Bollywood actor, this incident is from 2001, when there was a lot of tension in the atmosphere after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States. Sunil Shetty was busy shooting for the film ‘Kante’ in Los Angeles at that time.
In a recent interview, he told how a minor misunderstanding put him in a dangerous situation, and then a man of Pakistani origin rescued him from this difficulty.
Sunil said that a few days after the 9/11 incident, when the shooting resumed, he was entering the hotel. After going into the elevator, he realized that he had forgotten his keys. He asked an American man in the elevator, “Do you have the key?” I have forgotten my keys.” But the man misunderstood Sunil’s gesture and immediately ran outside and informed the police.
Soon, armed police officers surrounded Sunil, forced him to his knees and handcuffed him. Sunil said that he was completely shocked and scared at that moment, because he did not understand why all this was happening.
At this most difficult moment, the hotel manager, who was a man of Pakistani origin, intervened. The hotel manager told the police that Sunil Shetty was a famous Indian actor and was not dangerous in any way. After that, the police released Sunil.
Recalling the incident, Sunil said, “It was an incredible experience. There was chaos everywhere, and I did not understand what would happen next. But without the help of the hotel manager, I probably wouldn’t have been able to get out of this situation.”
Sharing his experience after the incident, Sunil Shetty thanked the Pakistani man, who not only saved his life but also proved that humanity transcends any borders.
