In the second match of the tri-series, South Africa set New Zealand a target of 305 runs to win thanks to a brilliant 150 runs from debutant Matthew Breeske.
In the match being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Matthew Breeske and captain Temba Bavuma gave the team a 37-run start when New Zealand invited them to bat, with Bavuma’s innings ending with an individual score of 20.
Jason Smith put on a valuable 93-run partnership with Breeske and his earlier partnership posed more problems for the Kiwis, Smith was run out for 41 runs.
The Proteas’ third wicket fell with just 2 runs added and Kyle Vereen fell to Michael Bracewell after scoring just one run.
After this, Matthew Breeske and Wayne Mulder showed excellent batting, during which Breeske completed his magnificent 150 runs, after which he became the victim of Matt Henry.
His innings not only paved the way for the team to reach a big score, but he also became the first batsman in the world to score 150 runs in a debut match.
On the other hand, Wayne Mulder also scored a valuable 64 runs. Thus, the South African team was able to score 304 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated overs.

Earlier, Kiwi captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and decided to field, saying that there was a little grass on the pitch, but despite this, 300 runs can be scored again on it.
South Africa captain Temba Bavuma said that if he had won the toss, he would have decided to bowl first and hoped that the ball would swing in the early overs.
