Karachi: Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has high hopes for two experienced players in the Champions Trophy.
Gautam Gambhir said that captain Rohit Sharma and legendary batsman Virat Kohli, both experienced players, will be important in the ICC event.
He said that although their performance in recent matches has not been good, their role in the Champions Trophy will still be very important.
It should be remembered that after the failure in the Australian tour, both players participated in the country’s first-class Ranji Trophy event, but they could not shake off the rust on their bats in that too.
Both players will now prepare for the Champions Trophy in the form of an ODI series in England.
