Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said that respecting each other’s beliefs and promoting harmony is a guarantee of lasting peace and development.
In a message on the World Interfaith Harmony Week, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that all religions teach the lesson of love, peace and tolerance, which is the foundation of a truly welfare society. Maryam Nawaz further said that differences must exist but do not leave the fold of religious education and civilization. Punjab belongs to everyone and here everyone can perform their worship without fear or danger. Pakistan has always been a beautiful bouquet of different religions, cultures and traditions – Pakistan, especially in Punjab, every citizen has equal rights.
The Chief Minister of Punjab further said that in the light of the thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam, practical steps are being taken for the protection of minorities and equal opportunities. Recently, a minority card has been launched, through which quarterly financial assistance is being provided to the needy minority brothers and sisters. Temples, churches and other places of worship are being renovated – festivals of the minority community are being celebrated at the government level –
He said that the budget for minorities has been increased to a considerable extent. Educational and employment opportunities are being increased for minorities. Spread the message of love, brotherhood and peace, create a society where there is no room for extremism.
