Karachi: Coast Guards operations foiled smuggling of over 900,000 liters of Iranian diesel.
During the past one month, operations were conducted against drug and diesel smuggling in Jiwani, Pasni and Othal areas of Balochistan, in which high-quality hashish and other smuggled items were recovered.
According to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Coast Guards, during the past 15 days, the Pakistan Coast Guards, based on their intelligence, foiled smuggling of 915,440 liters of Iranian diesel.
In addition, smuggling of 34.505 kilograms of hashish from Othal and Jiwani to the interior and exterior was also foiled. Legal action has been initiated after seizing the said drugs.
The value of the seized drugs in the global market is around $0.57 million.
In addition, the Pakistan Coast Guards have also prevented the smuggling and shipment of miscellaneous goods worth Rs 30.6 million during checks at their road check posts, including gutka, chalia, snuff, tires, electronic items, foreign clothes and cigarettes.
