Islamabad: US Congressmen hosted a dinner in honor of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during which detailed discussions were held regarding Pakistan’s economy and the IMF program.
Congressman Henry Cuellar and Maxine Waters, a leading member of the Congressional Financial Services Committee, hosted a dinner in honor of the Interior Minister.
During the dinner, issues of mutual interest and Pak-US bilateral relations were discussed between Mohsin Naqvi and the Congressmen. The need to increase mutual contacts to promote Pak-US relations was also emphasized.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi invited the Congressmen to visit Pakistan.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the Pakistani community is playing a prominent role in various sectors in the US, and the services of overseas Pakistanis to improve the economic situation of Pakistan along with the US economy are commendable.
Well-known Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
