Islamabad: Sugar production in the country has increased in January 2025 compared to December 2024.
A meeting of the Sugar Advisory Board was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain in which sugar production and requirement, including sugarcane crop estimates and future assessment for 2024-25, were reviewed.
The announcement said that sugar production has increased during January 2025 compared to December 2024.
Rana Tanveer Hussain said that sugar millers should invest in research to improve sugar production, while sugar millers will pay good money to farmers so that they can cultivate more sugar.
The Federal Minister said that sugar hoarding will be eliminated in collaboration with the provincial governments, the prices of all household essentials are under control and will be maintained.
