Islamabad: The Ministry of Defense has admitted to keeping Mudassar Hussain, a citizen who went missing from Muzaffarabad in March 2024, in its custody and said that he is an under-trial accused and a case is going on against him in a military court.
The missing persons case was heard in the Islamabad High Court, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case.
During the hearing, the Ministry of Defense submitted its report in which it was said that Mudassar Khan, who went missing from Muzaffarabad in March 2024, has been found, Mudassar Hussain is an under-trial accused and a case is going on against him in a military court.
The petitioner’s lawyer requested a meeting of the family with Mudassar Khan, on which the court directed the representative of the Ministry of Defense to meet Mudassar Khan’s family as per the law.
Lawyer Iman Zainab Hazir Mazari and others appeared in the court on behalf of petitioner Nazima Fateh Yab, while the Assistant Attorney General and Brigadier Falak Naz from the Ministry of Defense appeared in the court.
The court adjourned the hearing, directing a meeting with Mudassar Khan’s family.
