India asked us to pay compensation for not sending the team to Pakistan, but we presented our own model without compromising on national dignity, under which the teams will not go to each other’s country for the next three years in ICC events to be held in both countries.
The PCB has been entrusted with hosting a women’s tournament in 2028. When it was said that if there is no more tournament in Pakistan in the next 3 years, what will be the benefit to us? The ICC assured to hold an event in the country. This will compensate for the loss caused by the Indian team not coming to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy.
It was also said in the meeting that the ICC may limit its announcement to the Champions Trophy for now. It is not certain that a three-year agreement will be announced, but it may happen.
It was also revealed to the participants that Pakistan had made it clear at the World Council that if the demands are not met, we can take extreme steps, but this was avoided.
