Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that with the cooperation of Saudi Arabia, those who forge passports and alter documents can be caught in Pakistan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Saudi Directorate of Passports in the Saudi capital Riyadh and met with the Acting Director General of the Directorate of Passports, Major General Dr. Saleh Al Murabba. In the meeting, effective measures to make the system from receipt to issuance of passports easy and prevent forgery were discussed. The Interior Minister reviewed the advanced technology in the Directorate of Passports and praised the modern passport system.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the assistance of the Saudi Directorate of Passports can prove beneficial in making the passport system in Pakistan more easy and foolproof. Mutual cooperation will facilitate the public and get rid of fraud. A call center will also be set up in Pakistan on the model of the Saudi Directorate of Passports.
Saudi authorities had arrested 3,700 Pakistanis traveling to Saudi Arabia on passport fraud and forged documents at airports.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also visited King Fahd Security College. Director General King Fahd Security College Major General Dr. Ali Al-Daij received the Interior Minister. Mohsin Naqvi praised the 5-year strategic plan of King Fahd Security College and appreciated the efforts of the college’s Director General.
Mohsin Naqvi invited Master’s degree graduates of King Fahd Security College to come to Pakistan on study tours under the exchange program and suggested that Pakistani graduates should undergo short-term training courses at King Fahd Security College. The Interior Minister said that the state-of-the-art college on security-related issues is a practical example of the modern and unique thinking of the Saudi leadership.
