Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to turn the Middle East into hell if Israeli hostages are not released.
Donald Trump said that if the Israeli hostages are not released before his inauguration on January 20, he will turn the Middle East into hell.
In his statement on the social media platform “Truth Social”, Trump said that those who are committing these atrocities against humanity will have to pay for their actions.
He added that his government will teach those responsible a lesson that has never been given in American history.
After Trump’s threat, there is a possibility that the ongoing tension between Israel and Hamas will intensify further.
Earlier, regarding the Israeli hostages in Gaza, Hamas said in its statement that 33 hostages have been killed during the 14-month war, while many hostages are still missing.
Hamas warned Israel to hurry up with whatever steps it takes regarding the hostages, otherwise it will be too late.
The Israeli government has not yet given any official response to the release of the hostages, but this whole situation has created further political tension in the region, and Trump’s threat has created new difficulties in the way of negotiations between Israel and Hamas on the international level.
