All five franchises have retained their 71 players for the WPL 2025 for women cricketers in India. Among them are 25 foreign players.
Despite the non-disclosure by the Indian Cricket Board, the auction for the third season, expected in February, is likely to be held next month.
The franchises of the league have allocated a total of 16.7 million for the selection of 19 women cricketers in the auction.
3 crore 25 lakhs for the remaining 4 slots of Royal Jellingers Bengaluru, 2 crore 65 lakhs for 4 slots of Mumbai Indians, 2 crore 50 lakhs for 4 slots of Delhi Capitals, 3 crore 90 lakhs for 3 slots of UP Warriors. And for the remaining 4 slots of Gujarat Giants, Rs. 4 crore 40 lakhs is included.
