Islamabad: Analyst Shehbaz Rana said that there is a difference between the government’s minimum bid amount of 85 billion rupees and the Jubilee government’s bid of 10 billion rupees regarding the privatization of PIA.
He said that in this case, both the parties i.e. Government of Pakistan and Blueworld City bailed out each other, because Blueworld City is a real estate developer company, which has no experience in aviation and the consortium they have built is also from aviation. There was no company involved, the way the whole process was carried out, it was a complete failure, when you over-roll the system, it reacts on other things, we were told that there would be 70 billion foreign investment which we could not get.
Earlier it was said that Qatar will invest 25 billion dollars, now it has come to 3 billion dollars, which is being applauded. Analyst Kamran Yusuf said that the bidding for the privatization of PIA was finally held on October 31. Initially, the six parties who had expressed interest in purchasing PIA, but when it came to the bidding for the purchase, at that time only one It was the group that made the bid.
Now it is the work of the federal cabinet to accept it, the government has not yet decided what to do with this bid, he said that the international media has also reported that the best parties have left, these parties are not interested. The reason, he said, is that we have no guarantee that whatever deal this government makes will be honored by the next government.
