The Foreign Office has condemned the attack on Chinese citizens in Karachi and has expressed its commitment to work with China to end terrorism.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch strongly condemned the terrorist attack near Karachi Airport and said that two Chinese engineers lost their lives and one was injured in the attack.
“We express our condolences and sympathies to the families of both the Chinese and Pakistani victims, while praying for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident,” the Foreign Office spokesperson said.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that this act of terrorism is also an attack on the lasting friendship between Pakistan and China. We are determined to bring those responsible for this cowardly attack to justice.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that Pakistan will continue to work with its Chinese brothers to eradicate terrorism, law enforcement agencies will bring the criminals and their facilitators to a befitting end.
The spokesperson added that Pakistan and China are close partners and iron brothers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with the Chinese Embassy for coordination and facilitation.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan reiterates its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Chinese citizens, projects and institutions in Pakistan.
It should be noted that an IED explosion took place near the international airport signal in Karachi late at night, as a result of which 3 people, including 2 foreigners, were killed and 17 people were injured, while many vehicles were also destroyed by the explosion.
