In the meeting, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan Rules 2024 and the rules for the appointment of judges in the Supreme Court will be reviewed.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Aminuddin Khan, former judge Justice Manzoor Ahmed and Prime Minister Nazir Tarar will also attend the meeting.
Attorney General Mansoor Usman, representative Pakistan Bar Council Akhtar Hussain are also members of the commission and will also participate.
It should be remembered that on August 28, a meeting of the Judicial Commission was called on September 13 to review the rules for the appointment of new judges in the High Courts.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa also wrote letters to the Chief Justices of all High Courts seeking names for appointment of judges in the High Courts.
The letter said that names should be suggested immediately in the High Court where more than five seats are vacant.
