The issue of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan contesting the election of Chancellor of Oxford University reached the Senate.
Yesterday PTI Senator Zeeshan Khanzada while addressing the House demanded that we have unanimously passed the resolution in favor of national hero Arshad Nadeem, it has been signed by the senators of all political parties.
Senator Zeeshan Khanzada said that a resolution should be passed in this house in favor of Imran Khan as well. Imran Khan is also contesting the election of Vice Chancellor of Oxford University but unfortunately he is being opposed.
He said that when an Indian-origin becomes the Prime Minister of Great Britain, there is celebration in India even though he had nothing to do with India.
Addressing the Senate on this occasion, Legislature Senator Talal Chaudhry said that the chancellor is a role model for the university. If a chancellor has a court order or judgment against him, has been convicted in a corruption case by a court, criticizes the dress of women.
Continuing his point, he further said that if someone supports the Taliban under the political power of his party and if someone is serving corruption sentence in Adiala jail, how can he be elected chancellor?
