Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) asked the Election Commission for more time regarding non-conduct of intra-party elections.
The case related to JUIF’s non-conduct of intra-party elections in the Election Commission was heard by a four-member commission headed by member Sindh Nisar Durrani. JUI’s assistant counsel appeared in the commission.
The assistant counsel said that the intra-party elections of JUI are being held in the provinces first, after the intra-party elections in the provinces will be held at the federal level, we have requested the concerned wing to give some time.
DG Political Finance said that the period of intra-party election of JUI has been completed from July 7, when the time is completed, the organizational structure ends.
The member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the organizational structure of JUI was finished when the time expired, the member Sindh government directed to give arguments at the next hearing, the Election Commission adjourned the hearing of the case till September 18.
It should be noted that the Election Commission had summoned Maulana Fazlur Rehman today for not conducting intra-party elections.
