Criticizing Islamic laws without understanding them is a sign of 'arrogance', says Taliban spokesman

KABUL: The Taliban has termed the criticism of the recent morality laws implemented in the country as arrogance, saying that it is important to understand the spirit of Islamic laws before rejecting them.

According to the World News Agency, the spokesman of the Taliban government, Zabihullah Mujahid, said in a statement that the recently implemented law is in accordance with Islamic teachings, which should be respected and understood before saying anything.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid added in his statement that rejecting these laws without understanding them in this way is an expression of arrogance in our opinion.

Zabihullah Mujahid warned Muslims who criticized these laws that a Muslim’s criticism of this law could also lead to a weakening of his faith.

The Taliban spokesman dismissed concerns of harsh punishments for law enforcement, saying that no one’s rights will be violated and no one will be treated unfairly.

Zabihullah Mujahid also emphasized that the concerns raised by various parties cannot prevent the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan from implementing Sharia laws.

It should be noted that the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice announced Article 35 on Wednesday, in which women are instructed to cover their faces in public places and keep their voices down so that the faces of unmarried women cannot be seen or heard. can

Similarly, there will be a complete ban on the transportation of women without a mahram, while it has been made mandatory for men to wear a beard, pray in congregation, and wear religious and national clothes.

In addition, images of animals, animal fighting, homosexuality and playing music on non-Muslim holidays will be banned.

Since the implementation of this law, international human rights organizations and institutions have been expressing fear that punishments will be given for violating the laws and women will be the most victims.

Many countries and organizations have also called for strict sanctions on the student government and authorities in the context of severe penalties for the implementation of this law.

On which the Deputy Spokesman of the Taliban had also given an explanation yesterday that the implementation of the law will be done gently.
