DI Khan: JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said that the establishment is now able to take its internal affairs seriously.
Talking to media persons at his residence in Dera Ismail Khan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that JUI will run its own movement without any political alliance. The experience of political alliances in the recent past has not been good. We don’t want to embarrass anyone anymore.
He said that we will play the role of opposition both inside and outside the parliament. Issue-to-issue alliance with other political parties. The establishment has now gone and taken its internal affairs seriously. We are not their party in these matters.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that after 2018, assemblies have lost their importance. Democracy is losing its case in this politics. After 2018, the election results are coming according to the intention of the military chief, which is an authoritarian style. Why this question does not arise in India, America and Britain? Every election becomes controversial in our country.
The JUI chief said that now regular assemblies have been bought here, now who can do politics here? Where only money becomes faith and money becomes politics, public opinion and ideas do not matter. Now public assemblies will matter what street power you have.
He said that the country’s political instability is affecting the economy, if the state itself becomes unstable, a situation like Bangladesh is created. In Bangladesh, within 20 days, the body was turned around because the mandate there was a balloon. We don’t want to go to Bangladesh like situation.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that if we are guaranteed not to interfere in politics, we will not mind our defeat. We object to the election results of the entire country, not only Punjab and Balochistan, but also Sindh and KP.
He further said that we have no objection to talks with this government but they do not have the power. Meetings are held with Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, but those who are empowered come for negotiations. We want to fight the people’s case at the national level, but our objections and reservations should be removed.
The head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam said that our budget is now made by the IMF and our economy has gone into their hands. There was a time when Pakistan refused to accept the conditions of the IMF, they sat on their knees. Today they hold us by the neck and are not letting us breathe.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the colonial system has ended after the Second World War. Poor countries are controlled economically, defensively and politically and the nation must now unite to escape this.
