Paraguay’s female swimmer has been kicked out of the Olympics Village for creating an ‘inappropriate atmosphere’.
According to media reports, Luana Alonso of Paraguay was expelled from the Olympic Village by the Paris Olympics Committee for creating an ‘inappropriate atmosphere’.
The Olympics committee says Luana Alonso violated Games rules by going to Disneyland in Paris to hang out after the Olympian’s competition, which led to her expulsion.
On the other hand, Larissa Sherer, the boss of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, said in a statement that the presence of a female swimmer is creating an inappropriate atmosphere in the team.
20-year-old Luana Alonso announced her retirement on Instagram after being kicked out of the Olympics Village, writing, “I’m retiring from swimming, thank you so much to all the fans for your support!” Sorry Paraguay I just have to thank you.
The Paraguayan female swimmer has more than 646,000 followers on the photo-sharing app.
It should be noted that during the Paris Olympics, the swimmers were warned that no athlete would leave the Olympic Village until August 11, but the swimmer violated the discipline.
