Beirut: The United States and Great Britain instructed their citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.
In a statement released on Saturday, the US Embassy in Beirut urged its citizens to leave Lebanon by any available flight.
It is feared that an attack on Israel by Hezbollah may result in a strong response from Tel Aviv.
The U.S. Embassy says that U.S. citizens who choose to stay in Lebanon should be prepared for emergencies and long-term shelter in one place.
Several airlines have suspended and canceled flights to Lebanon, but commercial transportation is currently available, the statement said.
On the other hand, Britain has also urged its citizens to leave Lebanon as long as commercial flights are operating.
Britain says it is sending additional military personnel, consular staff and Border Force personnel to Lebanon to support any evacuation.
Two British warships are already in the region and the Royal Air Force has kept transport helicopters on standby.
