The funeral prayer of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, was held in the capital of Iran, Tehran.
Ismail Haniyeh’s funeral prayer was led by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Thousands of people including women participated in the funeral prayer. The funeral participants also carried Palestinian flags.
Ismail Haniyeh will be laid to rest in Qatar’s capital Doha on Friday. Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, was martyred in an Israeli attack yesterday. Ismail Haniyeh went to Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Iranian president. A 3-day mourning is being observed in Iran for the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh.
On the martyrdom of Ismail Haniya, there was a wave of grief in the Muslim Ummah. Protests were held in many countries including Palestine and Lebanon.
