Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Visit Saudi Arabia, Meet PM Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia on Friday for a one-day official trip, where he will hold separate meetings with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to a statement shared on social media by Türkiye’s Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran, President Erdoğan’s visit will include high-level discussions with both leaders. While the detailed agenda has not been officially disclosed, the meetings are expected to focus on bilateral relations, regional developments, and issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is already in Saudi Arabia on an official visit at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Upon his arrival in Jeddah, he was welcomed by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, and senior Saudi officials.
During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to hold comprehensive talks with the Saudi Crown Prince on strengthening the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi partnership, enhancing economic and strategic cooperation, and discussing the evolving regional situation.
The expected trilateral diplomatic engagements underscore the close ties among Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia, with regional stability and cooperation likely to remain central themes of the discussions.
