Rawalpindi: The trial of the new Tosha Khana reference against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has been started under FIA rules.
The trial of the Tosha Khana 2 reference against founder chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and his wife Bushra Bibi began under FIA rules, the first hearing of which was conducted by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjamand in Adiala Jail.
On the occasion of the hearing, FIA Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi and NAB Prosecutor Umair Majeed, while Salman Safdar appeared in the court on behalf of the accused.
During the hearing, the FIA prosecutor pleaded that this is the first case that has been transferred to the FIA after the NAB amendments, the case must be looked at under the FIA rules.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 23 while directing the investigating officer to submit the investigation report at the next hearing. The court also adjourned the hearing on the bail application filed by the accused till the next date.
