PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has approved the formation of a committee comprising the entire house on the tense situation in Khyber district.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly meeting was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Babar Saleem. The KP Assembly approved the dissolution of the special committee formed yesterday and the formation of a special committee comprising all the members of the House.
The special committee comprising the House will be headed by Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur. This committee will talk to the federation for the rights of the province and the people.
After the formation of the committee, Speaker Babar Saleem adjourned the assembly session till 3 pm tomorrow.

A Grand Jirga will be held today at Chief Minister House Peshawar under the host of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur. Parliamentarians from the province, leaders of political parties, tribal elders will participate in the jirga.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will represent the federal government in the Jirga. In the Jirga, the plan of action will be decided in relation to the situation arising in the context of holding the Pakhtun court of the banned organization Pakhtun Tahafz Movement.
It should be noted that in the context of the tense situation in Khyber district, an important meeting was held between the government and opposition members of the provincial assembly under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, in which the government and opposition members were present to resolve the issue. A special committee was constituted.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur had said that a special committee has been formed in the context of the tense situation after the unpleasant incident regarding the organization of the National Jirga of Pakhtun Protection Moment and the declaration of it as a banned organization by the Federation.
