Shoaib Akhtar Reveals Bollywood Offers, Including Salman Khan Film
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has revealed that he received multiple offers to appear in Bollywood films during his cricket career but ultimately decided against pursuing an acting career.
Speaking on Tabish Hashmi’s show, the former speedster said he had seriously considered acting at one stage. According to Akhtar, he was approached for a role in the Bollywood film Gangster, which starred Emraan Hashmi.
Akhtar also revealed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan personally offered him a role in a film. Filmmakers reportedly believed that the legendary fast bowler’s imposing personality and screen presence could make him a natural fit for villainous roles.
Despite receiving opportunities from the Indian film industry, Akhtar chose to remain focused on cricket.
The former pacer explained that balancing professional cricket with a career in films would have been extremely difficult. Rather than dividing his attention between two demanding professions, he decided to give his full commitment to cricket.

Known worldwide for his extraordinary pace and aggressive bowling, Shoaib Akhtar enjoyed a highly successful international career and later became a prominent cricket commentator and media personality.
His latest revelation has once again sparked curiosity among fans about what his Bollywood career might have looked like had he accepted those offers.
