Islamabad, 16 August 2026: “Shifa Foundation successfully concluded the third cohort of its flagship “NUR of Tomorrow” Youth Internship Programme, held at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad, bringing together young students from colleges and universities across Islamabad, Rawalpindi and neighbouring areas. Speaking at the graduation ceremony Dr. Abdul Wahab Hassan, Executive Director, Shifa Foundation said, ‘Young people do not need to wait for the future to make a difference they can begin creating positive change today.”

The four-day capacity-building programme equipped young participants with practical life skills, emergency preparedness, mental health awareness, digital and cyber safety, communication, teamwork, professionalism and civic responsibility skills increasingly essential for academic success, future employment and meaningful community engagement.

Through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations and group activities, participants strengthened communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, while gaining practical knowledge of emergency preparedness, first aid, CPR, fire safety and disaster response. The programme also addressed mental health and well-being, stress management, resilience and empathy, alongside digital literacy and cyber security, including online safety, privacy, responsible AI use, workplace ethics and profile development.
