In view of the threat of terrorism, the Punjab government imposed Section 144 in Mianwali for 7 days, the notification of which was issued.
According to the notification, all kinds of political gatherings, sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations and protests will be banned in Mianwali from today till October 7.
On the recommendation of the district administration, it has also been decided to deploy Rangers in Mianwali, 2 companies of Rangers will be deployed in Mianwali from 1st to 3rd October.
The notification said that Section 144 was imposed to maintain law and order, protect human lives and property, in view of security threats, any public gathering can be a soft target for terrorists.
