Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statements regarding the Philadelphia Corridor in Gaza.
Saudi Arabia has condemned Israeli statements about the Gaza-Egypt border and said the kingdom stands with Cairo on the issue.
In a statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry last night, it strongly condemned the Israeli ambitions on the Philadelphia Corridor in southern Gaza bordering Egypt.
It should be noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he wants to station troops in the Philadelphia Corridor in the near future.
They said that the Philadelphia Corridor, or more precisely the southern end of Gaza, should be in our hands.
Egypt has said it will not accept Israel’s presence on the corridor.
Former army general Benny Gantz, who served in Netanyahu’s war cabinet until he left office in June, criticized the prime minister’s stance on Philadelphia and pushed for a deal to release the hostages.
