Momina Iqbal-Saqib Chadhar Dispute Takes New Turn as MPA Makes Fresh Claims

LAHORE: The ongoing controversy involving Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Saqib Chadhar and actress Momina Iqbal has taken a new turn after the lawmaker made fresh claims about their relationship and the allegations surrounding the dispute.

In a recent interview, Chadhar levelled serious allegations against Momina Iqbal and her sister, Ramsha Iqbal, while presenting his version of events.

According to Chadhar, he helped Ramsha Iqbal travel to Australia for higher education and also provided her with employment at his company. He claimed that she later filed a harassment case against one of his business partners, which was eventually settled after a financial payment.

Chadhar alleged that a similar approach was later attempted against him by the two sisters.

The PML-N lawmaker further claimed that Momina Iqbal was aware of his marital status and had nevertheless agreed to marry him as his second wife.

Chadhar also alleged that the actress’s lawyer demanded a substantial amount of money and that proposals were made at different stages to settle the matter for amounts running into millions of rupees. He claimed to have presented evidence in support of his allegations.

However, these claims represent Chadhar’s version of the dispute and have not been independently verified.

Momina Iqbal had earlier accused Chadhar of harassment and taken the matter to the relevant authorities. The controversy has since attracted significant public attention, with both sides presenting differing accounts of the events.

The latest developments are expected to keep the dispute in the spotlight as the allegations and counter-allegations continue.
